The quality and tradition of Rosso demonstrate the same commitment on quality made when making Brunello. On the nose, the wine exudes lively aromas of red cherry. wild strawberry and cranberries Blended with purple floral notes and hints of tobacco spice, on the palate the wine is medium-bodied with smooth tannins and bright acidity. It creates a fresh and elegant profile. The scent of ripe red fruit is enhanced with earthy tones and a touch of mineral for clean, refreshed after taste. Le Chiuse has Montalcino's rich history and ties to the original Biondi Santi family, the pioneers of Brunello. Le Chiuse has deep historical ties to Biondi-Santi, the family credited with creating Brunello di Montalcino. The estate was once part of the original Biondi-Santi holdings and played a significant role in the development of Brunello. In fact, the vineyards at Le Chiuse were used by Ferruccio Biondi-Santi himself to produce his earliest Brunellos. These vineyards, planted with Sangiovese Grosso (the clone that defines Brunello), are considered among the finest in Montalcino. Their Rosso di Montalcino benefits from the same vineyards and careful winemaking as the flagship Brunello. Including aging in large Slavonian oak barrels, this traditional approach ensures that the wines capture the essence of Montalcino while remaining accessible and versatile.

Ripe berry, violet and baking spice aromas emerge from the glass along with a whiff of mint.
